These shoes are great for my indoor/outdoor lifestyle. As the program director of an environmental center, I often go from the office to the outdoors. These shoes are great for that. My only complaint is that, while they fit the size/dimensions of my foot, they are too deep for my foot. With the factory insole, there was a lot of clearance above my foot in the shoe, making it feel like a clog. While I shop for a high volume footbed to fill the depth of the shoe, I currently have two insoles on top of each other to stabilize my foot in the shoe. With the right footbed, I will be totally pleased with my purchase.

I'm a home builder and trim carpenter by trade. I need a light, durable shoe that slips on and off easily as my project evolves and floor coverings are added and still be able to dig a ditch outside. I've owned a pair of Keen Providence shoes that served that function for two and a half years. When they finally wore out I was anxious to replace them with another pair of Keens and the Ashland seems to be the perfect replacement. Forget your $200 trade specific shoes. These shoes are functional, comfortable, durable, and are less than half the price. As long as Keen makes a full leather, ankle heighth, slip on, I will own a pair and work them hard.

This is the third pair of Keen's I've owned, and they're all great shoes. They're extremely comfortable. I normally wear b/w a 12 and 13, I ordered 12 because these shoes have a wide footbed, so I don't need the extra size that a 13 offers. They're great right out of the box, no break-in time required. I've worn them out in the snow and rain several times already, and my feet have remained dry. I've received several comments on them because of their somewhat unique look.

I love Keens and have two other pairs of lace-up models in size 14. For the slip-on Ashlands, a 13 fit just fine. I had to return them though, because the exposed stitching on the uppers was erratic and should not've made it past Keen's quality inspectors. For the short time I had them they were great!

These are great shoes that are very comfortable and light weight. They could be priced a little bit lower but otherwise no complaints. I have only had them a few weeks so I can't comment on durability yet but if they preform like my other Keen purchases, I should get many years of use.

Last years model was a synthetic leather not a refined/polished leather. The shoe serves me best while working outside or at a ski slope to alternate to when not wearing boots. This new model is dressed up WAY too much. I would like to see the older hide style leather come back for next season. Also, the sizing seems larger than last year. I ordered a 13 last year and it fit perfect. This years 13 has me swimming in the shoe.

Great shoes, I bought them to replace my other pair of black keens similar to the Ashlands. I wore those almost every day for two years and they are still my favorite pair of shoes I've ever owned. I still get comments on them even after two years of wear and tear.
