I use these shoes for day hikes. I actually traded my hiking boots for these to save a little weight, which is fine in all but the most rugged terrain. They are very nice, great fit and traction and very comfortable. Be sure to give them lots of break in time.

Good shoe very comfortable with excellent arch suport. Have had for about 6 months and wear daily. Mostly used a a casual shoe. Rubber compound at side of shoe near front is starting to separatae slightly from the leather, but have not experienced any sort of water in the shoe becasue of it. It seems cosmetic only.

I've been wearing these as my every day shoe, commuting to work(walking and bus) and walking the dog in rain and muddy areas and they are great. Feet have been kept warm and dry.

Our staff uses the shoes in extreme humidity and inclement weather. Normally boots/ shoes made from leather begin to smell after a few weeks. So far, the Keens have held up.

I wear these to work doing light construction. They are O.K. I find the tongue is too padded therefor, I am not able to lace the shoes up for a nice snug fit.

Keen is the King of shoes, hands down. The targhee II is perfect for the backcountry or building a deck. Could not be happier. [...]

After reading reviews, I ordered this shoe in a half size larger than I usually order Keens (which I love, btw). They were too small. I exchanged them for the next size up and they are still too small. I'm returning these, too. I like Keens for the width but this model disappointed. The construction looks solid but the shoe isn't a full out trail shoe. I decided on a pair of New Balance trail shoes that are much sturdier and are sized perfectly.
Roomy, wide, comfortable, but run small.

This is my second pair, I like them so much. They run a full size small, so I bought a size 12 when I am normally an 11. Extremely comfortable from day 1, wide at the toes so no cramping or blistering, durable, reasonably waterproof. I can't say enough about these shoes.I hope they keep making them for a long time.

I bought these so I could have something to wear to the watering hole when I go out of town, and have a waterproof shoe to wear to the trailhead in the AM. So far, so good. I've logged a few sidewalk miles in them, and they're comfortable for that. No hiking yet, and I have yet to test the waterproofness.
Like everyone else says, order these a full size larger than usual. I tried a different Keen style in my regular size (12) and it fit, but the Targhee was too small. I usually wear a wide shoe, but these were wide enough.
Also, these feel a little warm, as do most waterproof shoes/boots. That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

Sizes small -- I actually wear a size 9 in the Keen Sandals (normally wear size 9 to 9.5), and I bought a size 9.5. Should have bought a size 10 or even size 10.5. Just be sure to try the shoe at a brick and mortar store before buying online. Otherwise, it seems like a well constructed light hiking shoe. Haven't worn it enough to comment on long term comfort yet -- just wore it enough to know that it fits small!

I pass through metal detectors at work. These have no metal, fit well, and are water proof. Still comforable after 12 hours on shift.
