Simply an excellent boot. I purchased a pair for a camping trip in Haleakala National Park. This trip consisted of a 20+ mile hike through various terrain, such as: lava rock, sand, gravel, dirt, and mud. The conditions ranged from arid to soaking wet. These boots performed far better than expected and I did not even have a chance to break them in. At the end of this trip, I was the only person without any blisters on my feet.

Does not bode well for my future confidence but they handled it swiftly and professionally so I will give them another chance. Love the boots..no break-in, light and super comfy!I run in the woods with my dog in these..lets so how long they last because I plan to beat the snot out of them everyday!

Purchased for a week long strenous hike coming up this fall. Have been "breaking them in" and I LOVE THESE SHOES! They are very light weight, offer great ankle support, and they are as comfortable as my running shoes. They are a little bit wide (which I need) and I will forever be a "The North Face" shoe fan!
Very good all-day hiking boots.

Would have preferred eyelets and straps to keep shoes tight during hike, but overall not bad. Very comfortable once the laces are tightened and very thick socks are used. Recently completed 3 day hikes with these North Face boots with no issues to report other than my brief comments.

These boots are awesome. They are light but very stable. I have carried 50+ lbs with no soreness or hotspots. Great traction. Waterproff and breathable through muddy trails and small streams. I will test them further this summer on vancouver island's west coast trail. I'm very happy with my purchase.
