Theese would be great, except for the very tight elastic top.
I first used these for skiing, but now I love wearing them every day all winter long, indoors and out. No more cold feet!
I've worn these for short hikes in cool weather under medium-weight Smartwool, and for a one-week Grand Canyon loop under lightweight Smartwool in Goretex lined boots. Things got a little mushy on the GC trip, and the very thick toe seam (relative to the fabric thickness) gave me some nasty blisters on the tops of my toes. I wound up wearing the socks upside-down to put the seams under my toes and survided the climb on the last day.
I've gone back to my Patagoinia merino/capilene liners, which have a very flat/smooth/thin seam.

I wear Fox River liners on all of my ruck marches, and I have yet to get a blister or hot-spot, even in boots that would normally cause them on distance road marches. Definitely recommended for anyone going on hikes/backpacking and carrying heavy loads.
I have been having problems with rubbed areas not blisters, this liner socks seem to do the trick. I wear the liners every day and so far have had no problems. Take care of the moisture and you take care of your feet!
excellent liner under medium weight hiking socks. The liner is long, so if you have a thick lower calf, it might pinch at the top of the sock.
I purchased the socks because I had started doing longer day hikes (12 miles) and developed a few bad blisters. These liners helped, but I guess I was hoping for a miracle and they were not a miracle. I think I just need to toughen my feet up a bit... I did not get as many blisters this time around, so I guess that I am not unhappy with the product, just maybe had unrealistic expectations....I will continue to use them.
I order a size smaller, to insure a snug fit. I love these socks for their wicking ability. I wear them for all my activities and everyday in summertime, except at work. They are great alone or as a liner sock with double socks when backpacking.
I love the fit and feel of the sock liners and now I would not want to hike with any other pair, especially when it is warm. Have not yet tried them in cool conditions.
I WORE THE LINER SOCKS HIKING FOR OVER A WEEK STRAIGHT.
THEY DID NOT SMELL EVEN AFTER ALL THAT TIME AND I HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH BLISTERS.
I HAVE ALSO USED X-STATIC TRAVEL SOCKS (AND UNDERWEAR).
THESE PRODUCTS ARE A MUST FOR LIGHT-WEIGHT PACKING. THEY MIGHT GET A BIT DIRTY, BUT THEY NEVER SMELL. NEVER.
Sock liners were suggested to me to protect my feet from blisters on my first climb. Worked wonderfully. New boots w/ no time to break them in, climbed Mt. Washington and survived w/ not one blister! I'm sold on them!
A bit more money than other liner socks, but well worth the cost, if you wear liner socks almost everyday. Very good quality and fit.
I don't like adding bulk to my already bulky hiking socks. These liners are lightweight and add an effective protective barrier against blisters.
These are great liners and somehow resist stinky feet smells like my nrmal liners seem to pick up. They are a little pricey, but after I used the one pair I picked up, I got over it and bought 2 more pairs. Money well spent
Excellent sock liners for running, hiking, and snow sports. Prevent chafing and blisters and keep feet toasty.
I bought these because I needed sock liners. They seem to be okay for that; perhaps not as good as my others, but close. As for the "thermal evenness" I don't know how anyone would be able to tell, but I didn't notice a thing. Same goes for the anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. And given that the claim is the silver ions stay with the sock and don't wash/wear out, how is it that they are still able to react with bacteria? And it's also not clear how silver bonded to a polymer is going to allow it to conduct heat any further than to the next molecule. I think I like my old, black, smooth liners better. They won't show dirt as much.
