These gloves are very adaptable. You can use them for running in cold weather, layer them for outdoor sports...I even wear them sometimes when I'm driving! Comfortable and warm (well, warm for what they are).

My hands get cold and yet I have to have them free to work when in the back country. These gloves were a good solution. They did what I needed them to do and although not "hot" in and of themselves they provided a warm wind barrier for me and when I was done working could slide the hands inside mittens to keep them toasty. They worked as a great base layer.

Great lightweight winter glove you can use for skiing, snowball fights, running, outdoor chores, driving and casual wear around town. They fit snug and are very compact to leave in your jacket pocket and still have room for hat, keys, cell phone, etc.

I needed a pair of gloves to cut the wind when I ride my bike to work. These gloves fit the bill perfectly. While they don't have enough insulation to be worn as winter gloves, they are are perfect for any kind of activity in the wind and cold. They repel water very well, have a great grip, and are quite comfortable. I lost one and immediately got a new pair.

Great Product wrong sizing

Feels too large
Pros:
Dries Easily, Good Grip
Cons:
Too Bulky
Best Uses:
Casual Wear, Cross Country

What a great product - at least in theory.

No other outer wear company has a glove like this - which should have given EMS the edge on this one.

The problem with the glove is that the glove is too bulky (normally sized) - meaning the sizing is way off. Every pair of gloves that I own, from golf to ski, are Men's mediums. My wife had these gloves from last year and loved them. Having a size Medium in Womens - I ordered a pair of Mens Medium, after being told that the Womens medium is the same size as a mens small....WRONG!

I don't care what they say back at the warehouse - we have both a mens small & womens medium in our household, and for sure the mens small is considerably larger than the womens medium.

This type of glove is one that you want to fit snuggly and not have a tendency to bunch up on you. With the Mens Small this still occured for me - due to the sizing issue. The Medium was just foolishly large on me.

I would suggest trying these on in the store. By no means should men feel less likely to buy a pair - even if they have to go over to the womens rack to find a size that fits properly.

Eastern Mountain Sports Response:Gloves can be a tricky fit and like boots...different gloves fit different people differently.

I have had several pairs of this style glove from EMS over the past 5 years. It has been one of the best all around gloves to carry that I have found. The water resistance and windproofing are excellant. The recent change of the grip in the palm is a great improvement. I use these as an early and late season glove for downhill skiing and snowboarding, casual, back packing when I expect cold or windy weather and most recently mountaineering on Andrews Glacier in Rocky Mountain National Park

Best gloves ever

Pros:
Dries Easily, Durable, Good Grip, Look very cool, Snug Fit, Warm
Best Uses:
Casual Wear, Great for morning drive

i absolutely love these gloves. i've had three pairs so far and i wear them very hard. I still have the original pair. I just like to update every once in a while. I've bought them for gifts and the recipients always are amazed by their warmth and durability. Hands down, if you are looking for a warm glove that makes it easy to handle objects of all size, this is the only glove you will need to get through the winter. If using for skiing, just throw a shell glove over the top and your ready for a long day. BUY these gloves.
