i got my first jacket for christmas of '06 and it has held up nicely, plenty warm on cold days and still thin enough to fit under my winter coat for the really cold days. i wore it this past fall/ winter for work(i'm a plumber) and it is great when we were working outside or in houses that don't have heat!! this jacket doesn't restrict my movement while working. however, it would be nice if it had underarm zipper vents and possibly an inner pocket or two. other than that i love this jacket so much so i bought a second for when i am not working.

This fleece is very warm and this fleece fabric seems heavier than most (can be a pro or a con, depending). It is very warm and the SYNC feature is convenient. The major gripe I have with this is that it falls way too short at the waist, it came up to above my belt, letting in a nasty breeze. Granted that I am 6'2" and bought a large, this would still be short on anyone of average height. I can't imagine how short a medium or a small would be. I ended up returning it with no problems and going for a sweet north face that was on sale.

I got this JUST in time for a trip to vermont at the end of Feb, first day there was single digits. I had bought this for casual use but I was sure glad it was handy. The sleeves are a bit snug at the wrist but it was perfect for under a ski jacket(layered with a Techwick, I might add!) I never felt the wind. I had bought one for my son, he wore his that day too.

I am curious and cautious about apparel purchases...quality at a price point is always a point of high interest....EMS has done itself very well by placing its Brand and logo on this garment....a great buy at the original price; I was extremely fortunate to find it on sale....bought one....then two others thereafter...an item of practical warmth, performance fit and casual fashion. I am a satisfied customer working his way back into outdoor fitness. Thanks EMS!

So, it's an excellent basic fleece, which in of itself is a very good thing. However, what I particularly appreciate is that the "Small" is actually "Small." Speaking as someone who is built on a slighter frame, a lot of the "outdoor clothing" that various companies sell just doesn't fit well. A fair amount of the "Small" stuff that EMS sells is a bit too large for me, but this fleece in particular has a terrific fit. That may mean that it tends to run small compared to their other jackets, but for me it was perfect.

Over all I am very happy with this liner and all of the SYNC appareal. I own the program winter jacket and the gore-tex rain shell, along with the down and fleece liner. Both are warm wind and water proof, overall great coats.
My only complaints are with the available sync liners. The fleece liners wrist cuffs are a little tight. More importantly I can't zip open he liners from the bottom. The shells have this ability, but the liners DO NOT. This is a little annoying when you have to get something out of a belt clip or fro your pants pocket.
So if I was to make a suggestion for improvment for the new seasons clothes, it would be to allow the liners to zip up from the bottom.

I bought this, as well as the Sync shell, a present for my boyfriend. He loved it until he realized that the fleece didn't have the underarm vents that the shell had. We ended up keeping the shell and buying another brand of fleece (for 3 x the cost) that did have the vents. I love the look and the price, but why not make it match the shell?

Great all around jacket. You can wear it by itself or layered. I layer an EMS "heater" underneath and it's ultra-warm. I wish it was a little warmer and had some reinforcement on the elbows, wrists and shoulders, but it's still tough as heck. I can see myself using this jacket for a long time to come. As a side note: I got one for my dad and it's a little too short. Not a big deal at all, but could be a little longer. I'm only 5'6" so it's not a problem for me and actually tends to fit better than most other jackets.

I bought this jacket for myself but it looks like it will end up as my husband's jacket because it doesn't adapt well to my woman's shape. I just wanted a big cozy jacket. It's definitely warm. Unfortunately it is very much shaped for a man, with big shoulders and chest, narrowed waist and very narrow wrists. You cannot pull up the sleeves at all or roll them. The waist is too snug even though the upper part is quite large. I love the fleece but fit is essential.

Great Fleece, I was surprised when I received this to find that the fleece is nice and thick, unlike nearly every other fleece I've tried. It really feels sturdy and substantial on your body. Also it is cut just slightly large so that you can comfortably wear any shirt underneath. Cut is also athletic (follows your body's contours) so it looks great, (if you do.)

I admit, I bought the Sync fleece jacket on a whim due to the sale on it. I needed a smart looking, plain fleece to wear on the train and the way to work. It is very warm and sell made. Although a couple drawbacks to this fleece include the fit, and the way it snaps into a shell.
Now, since the only cons relate to the ability to snap into a shell, it does everything it needs to be. But...I think in this day and age of layering with technical fabrics, there is no need for a "technical" fleece to have this feature. First, I think it's a little too warm (thick) to be worn normally under a shell. If you have a quality base layer on, with this fleece and en effective light wind or rain shell would be plenty in all but the coldest conditions. Second, although I understand the reasoning in trying to attach it to EMS products, I believe it would be more versatile if you left the snap option off and focused on the fit of the fleece instead of the fit of the shell.
Aside from this minor issue I have with this jacket, it is a very nice addition to my Pacific Northwest Fleece arsenal.

I have one issue with this jacket and it's a big one... When the jacket is not completely zipped up, the points of the collar stand up and jab me in the neck. I am constantly pushing them down and trying to curl them back, but of course, this does not work. I like the jacket overall, but this feature is driving me crazy and may stop me from wearing it on a regular basis.

Casual Wear, Cold Weather
I have a core fleece vest and I love it. I had great expectations in getting the jacket. I ordered a small, which was the vest size. I was most disappointed in the jacket. The shoulder cut was too wide and the sleeve length too long. The end result: I returned the jacket. I realy liked everything about the jacket except it didn't fit.
My son put on the jacket and wore it !

Really like this jacket. Have always been happy with every EMS fleece, nice look, casual to camping and durable - you guys gotta get a supplier selling your stuff in Canada again - mail order takes too long!
