I am a fan of how this jacket packs down for portability and for 3 years it worked great on the trail and in town but alas, this year the rain has started to soak through. I have yet to spray any repellant on it which could be considered "normal maintenance" to keep its function. Therefore my only complaint is durability throughout the years. Otherwise it's compact, it’s breathable for what it is, vents work great and I am a fan of the pocket space.
Eastern Mountain Sports Response:We're glad to hear it has served you well. We'd suggest the Nikwak TX-Direct Wash in or TX Spray to get your jacket back into prime waterproof shape.
Waterproof yes, attractive, no.

I returned this jacket, as it has a rubbery white lining and looks like a coat my 4 year-old would wear. Everything else about the coat is fine, but the white rubbery lining is horrible looking. Make it gray or blue and it wouldnt be sooo obvious.

I use this jacket when I go camping and also when I am backpacking. It keeps me very dry but if for some reason I get it wet on the inside it stays like that. At times when I am backpacking it can make me very hot even when the armpit zips are down.
Great jacket for the price!

I wear this jacket in rainy conditions, both in the city and when out on the trail. It sheds water very well, but like every waterproof product I've tried it doesn't breathe great. It has a couple of large pockets that are easily accessible and don't get in the way. I'm 5'7" 140lbs and the size medium jacket is slightly big when wearing just a t-shirt, so it's perfect for layering with a fleece or hoodie. I hesitate to call it "warm" because it's so thin, but you'll definitely feel warmer with this on during windy weather. Bottom line: a great waterproof shell for a great price!

My son is a freshman in college and needed a "wind-breaker" for those "rainy" walks to and from classes.
This was perfect!
Great turn-around - it took only a day or two to receive it!

This jacket is very effectively waterproof, and wind-proof as well. It is not as light weight as I might have expected, and it can be a little too warm for warm weather, but it is great in being waterproof and warm in rainy weather.

Jacket kept me dry in Guatemala and served my needs very well. Very light and packable. Provided warmth when needed, sometimes too hot when temperatures rose on longer walks. Useful pockets. Convenient velcro wrist tabs. Hood is ample and easily adjustable.

Just got the jacket a month ago so I can't rate it for durablity; but it is what I expected in fit and function. It is a good looking jacket that I wear as an outer layer to protect agenst wet and windy spring weather.Purchased it to wear on vacation while in Ireland and Scotland this year.
The price was reasonable when compaired to similar products.
