I find this item on line, I want to buy for my husband. At the beginning, I was afraid many things such as the size, the color. But when I got it, everything is perfect, the size is good, the color is loverly--much better than it looks on the photo! My husband also likes it very much!

Good jacket, not sure if I would spend 200 bucks on it, got it on sale for about [$] Runs slightly big, I'm between a medium and a large and the medium fight me pretty perfectly.

The lower front flaps on the hood have snaps on them, but I have not found any place to snap them on! Is a chin piece missing? Were snaps left off the jacket? Am I going blind ?
Not critical - I kept the jacket.
Eastern Mountain Sports Response:The snaps aren't missing...they are just somewhat hidden. You will find the corresponding snaps located on either side of the main zipper under a swatch of material. You will need to tuck the ends of the hood under the material to access the additional snaps. The hood as you know zips on and off and the snaps are added for extra security and add a cleaner look when it is attached. Hope this helps. True fit, I useually wear a 2x to accomidate for my long arms. Got the XL and it fit great. It seems a little tight in the arm pits when worn with a Denali, a lighter fleece would probally be perfect.

Great jacket overall. Bought for casual wear in NE winter. Could use an extra inner pocket. Fits well, but could be a bit small if you want to zip in another jacket underneath.

So far this jacket is great. I am 6'4" and 190 lbs. I was concerned that the sleeve length would be a problem but the XL fits perfectly. It is a little snug with a Khumbu Fleece zipped in, but not too restrictive for skiing. Overall I am very please with this jacket.

Totally versatile jacket for almost any conditions, from 50 and rainy in South Carolina to -9 and snowing on the slopes of Colorado (with a fleece liner). Could be cut a little less blousy. Great jacket for this price range. Next step better quality and detailing costs 50% more.

Replaces a good North Face shell I had years ago. Bought for layering in moderately cold weather (20-40). Durable fabric, waterproof but breathable and enough pockets.

You guys ROCK!!!! Great buy. I got the Denali and the Various Guide Jacket. They work perfectly. But remember, it is only a shell not a winter coat. You will need another layer, like a bubble coat or fleece for warmth. [...] Perfect!!!

Got it as a outer shell for Denali fleece. But when zipped in with the fleece jacket, it feels tight. Quality is very good, great for autumn and wet weather by itself.
