[...]. I have had a pair for 4 years now and despite losing thier colour slightly, they are still the most comfortable, versatile and hard wearing softshell pants I own. I have other pairs from Patagonia, Berghaus Big Wall and Arcteryx, and frankly none of them hold a candle to the Mammuts. Yes they are slightly longer in the leg, but as a 6ft 3in mountaineer I figure it's about time we had some pants available for people with longer legs (and they are only 1" longer at 33" than your standard inside leg length of 32"). So please don't be put off by the last review, yes everyone is entitled to their opinion but to give the Mammut Champ pant a rating of 2 stars is frankly way off the mark. Buy a pair, you wont regret it.

[...]This regular is WAY too long. Actual size also depends on whether it is made in China or Turkey (the last feels smaller). The length is inconsistent -- I tried 3 pairs and they all were of different length (with the same size 48).The pant is not warm at all but the stretch is very nice.
Eastern Mountain Sports Response:We will certainly look into the fit issues you have described with the Mammut pants and the discrepancy in length. The comment regarding warmth and lack thereof is to be expected with these particular pants. They are designed to be fast and light, with layering potential for warmth.
