This is one of the most versatile sweaters I have come across. I can wear this to any of my weekend adventures or camping trips or to work and I will feel nice and comfortable. The combination of wool and the inner lining is great.
I have not worn it for long enough to have any cons, but so far I absolutely love it.

Great for layering! Very warm, but not scratchy. The inside is a soft fleece layer. Only negative for me is that the length of the sweater is a little long. Everything else is excellent. Great product!

I buy the All Mountain Sweater every year for my husband as a Christmas Gift. This year's rocks! Loved it so much as a 'jacket' for quick runs to the store, mailbox, carpool... I stole my husbands!

First, I am an average guy (5'10", 165lbs). Every other EMS clothing product I have is a Medium. That size fits me perfectly. Outerwear is form fitting, but roomy enough to layer. Baselayers fit tight to the skin, but don't pinch or restrain. So, I ordered this top in a Medium. It fit me like an Extra Large. Seriously. I haven't worn a size Small in anything in my life. I returned the shirt (excellent customer service by the way), this time getting the small. It is still a little big, but very close to the Medium size I was expecting. I don't know why this product's sizing is so much different from EMS's other items. As for performance, this is a little bulky for a midlayer, but if you only need this top (and perhaps a thin baselayer) it works great. For me, in 20F weather with a waterproof outer, it's perfect. Breaths well, comfortable, allows for good range of motion. May be a little pricy at retail, but a steal during most sales.

Sweater is practical and useful outdoors but also has a respectable look that is classier than many other similar tops.

A great and versatile top layer -- I love it (them). At the rate I'm going, they'll be worn out by the end of the season I wear them that much.

My husband hates cotton sweaters and could never find a sweater that was wool that didn't itch. This is a great find - and he wears it all the time! He got a small and it fit a little big, but is okay for layering.

This item is a classic - wool for warmth on the outside, and poly for breathability on the inside layer - an all in one!
I had an earlier version that I lost on a recent 20 miler - so I looked to replace it.
The prior (circa 2003) was much thicker and heavier - good news in real cold, but with the recent winters it seemed to often be "good at the start, but quickly became too warm" - the new version (circa Dec 2007)is a much thinner wool exterior (also not the new left sleeve pocket) - so at first it seems to be "light by comparison" - but it may actually be BETTER - the warmth of wool is still there, but I may now be able to extend the use of it as I won't be too quick to overheat.
I've looked at a lot of outer shells - this one is definitely worth the look! Consider your use - cold or very cold - and you'll have the right experience

I have 2. These are great for fall and spring. They also hold up well in light rain. Being able to wash them is also great. I like the style.
