Wool, so it breathes, does not retain odors. Nice knit, lightweight, comfortable, and form fitting. I wear it to work or to a dressy casual dinner with jeans, cords, or khakis. Fits all situations. I like it so much, I have bought all 3 colors. Another great product from Smart Wool.
All Good. Comfortable and warm.

this sweater feels sooo soft and looks really great. I just wish I had known it was a dry clean only garment. I would not have bought it most likely. But I do enjoy it very much every time I wear it.
I never wear sweaters, but love this one

Perfect over baselayer. Just the Hahn's Peak and Gore-Tex shell keep me warm in 20-30 degree ranges. So much better than Polartec + it insulates even if wet. Only downside (as with all wool) is it needs to be dry-cleaned, but the wool resists bio, so dry clean can be infrequent.
Smart Wool makes great products.

Warm sweater, fits snugly even over just one shirt (XL), collar a bit irritating unless you're into the preppy upturned collar look, but I got it for the warmth, not the look. The sleeves developed a zillion pills on the first wearing. The cuffs are really thin and I'm betting they'll fray quickly. Warm, though.

The size of this sweater is VERY misleading. I purchased what I thought to be a great deal, but after having ordered a medium, I realized it was certainly no medium by anyone's standards. I am very surprised because just about every shirt, sweater, techwick, etc I buy from EMS is a medium. To fix the problem instead of sending it back, I decided to "try and shrink it". Well, that didn't work too well, and now the sweater won't fit a 5 year old. Too late to return it, and now im out [$]. Pretty disappointed to say the least, but i guess its my fault for not returning it.

The sweater is extremely well made. The large runs more like an XL. It is very warm for its size. Comparable to a light fleece, probably warmer. My first merino sweater, and well it is not as soft as I expected, it definitely lives up to all the hype behind it. Not sure if I would use it for backpacking but definitely seems tough enough to retain its shape in such activities.
Nice sweater! Extremely comfortable.

I would but this product again.

This is an awesome sweater. Not too stuffy but not too athletic to wear on casual Fridays at the office. Remember "dry clean only". We already shrank one, but reordered it because it was such a great find.

I love this sweater. It is extremely comfortable, very warm, and is really comfy to wear casually around the house but I also love wearing it out to hang out with friends. I am very happy with my purchase. Only con is that it is dry clean only which is why I wouldn't use it for camping/hiking/outdoor activities.

Very nice sweater. The wool is soft and holds its shape. The style is casual but can be worn out to a nice restaurant if need be.
What I don't like is the sizing. I'm 6'1" and quite thin, but because of my broad shoulders (I'm a swimmer) and long arm length, I always wear a size Large in sweaters. But the Hahn's Peak Sweater by Smartwool is cut way too big in the torso. I tried a medium but the arms were too short.
A super-comfortable sweater

This sweater is super-comfortable and offers great temperature control, just like a wool garment should. The one thing to watch when purchasing this sweater: Sizing. I normally wear a Large, but had to order an XL with this in order to get the right chest size.

I just bought this with several other Smartwool products. I made a HUGE mistake of not paying enough attention to the wash tag. Everything else I bought was wash cold, etc.
Well this is DRY CLEAN ONLY. I took it out of the dryer before it was even dry all the way... it shrunk big time.
I went from being able to wear it over 2 (light) layers of clothes without it being too tight... to hardly being able to put it on. Now it looks like a cut off shirt that shows your abdoman. It's completely unusable now.
I had planned to use this when I go to the UP in Michigan (tomorrow) and I think it would have been great. But I do NOT think it's worth the money if it has to be dry cleaned. I wear my stuff too much for that hassel.

Very warm and naturally wind resistant. The only thing that stops me giving it 5 stars is too large a collar for my 16 inch neck.

While this is not the same material as their socks, it is definitely an awesome garment. It's one of those pieces that can either be a step below formal, for a nice dinner, or it can be worn with a pair of jeans like a regular Joe. The sleeves are lengthy, the material is soft, and it seems like I'll get many years out of it.
