I was looking for a thin but warm layer to use under my hiking pants. I first tried Hot Chillis but their weight, thickness and texture were not comfortable to me, then I discovered these. Micro fleece would be appropriate because they seem to provide as much warmth as the heavier fleece but at a much thinner and lighter wear making them more comfortable for all around use under everything you wear.
I was a bit skeptical at first but then I tried them under my downhill ski pants (shell) and wow, now I have a better solution to moving freely through the deep stuff. No more saggy bulky feeling in your pants when you really start to sweat. Yet you have the warmth and lower body protection you need for the cold ride back up the mountain on the lift.

loose). Lets wind blow up your leg.

I bought these for my boyfriend for X-mas as he is a mechanic and has to brave the elements to work on vehicles as his shop is not big enough to hold many cars at once. He always complains of the cheap long johns that are scratchy. He wore these yesterday when the temp didn't get above 45F. He absolutely loved them! He says he didn't feel any cold, didn't sweat, and actually wants to try the thicker ones to be even warmer. He didn't even take them off when he got home. He just put shorts on the outside and walked around the house just so until we went to bed. I think he would have slept in them had it not already been toasty in the bedroom. They are a little pricey for my wallet but well worth it. We will definitely order more plus the tops to go with them!

Great. The perfect layering for under a pair of jeans or ski pants. Plenty of room and, best of all, the bottom of the legs were not cutting off the circulation in my ankles!

Bought a couple pairs for snowboarding in Vermont. Fit well, good value, comfortable, used for many days without washing, no odors. A pair of these with snow pants will keep you very warm. Only caveat is that there is slight bit of extra material at the ankles, had to fold over when putting on my boots, which put a little extra pressure in the calf region.

Sizing is off though so weren't as snug as I would have liked them.

My husband has been using these long underwear in the winter under his clothing for YEARS. The first time he bought them they had the brand name Bergelene. He bought a couple of pair [...] in Nassau County, New York. Mind you, this has to be 20 years ago!!! We decided it was time to get more, so we went online [...], found that Bergelene was renamed Techwick and ordered two pair for him. He is so happy with them and what I like about them is that they do not shrink when put in the clothes dryer. We had seen other long underwear from other manufacturers for more money, but the Techwick is, by far, the absolute best. And, the price cannot be beat.

This is a Bergelene replacement, but owning an older set of Bergelene, I don't see why these have 3 seams sewn on the legs as opposed to the one inseam on Bergelene. The material quality is there, but the comfort is not the same.

These are very comfortable and have so far kept me warm at around 40 degrees at night, but that is the coldest it's been here so far. I think these will be ideal for active winter activities. Though the matching top for these are not as comfortable. They chaff under the arms. Get a size larger for the tops if you get them.

I got these long underwear for my husband for Christmas and he wears them constantly and is thrilled with them. He keeps commenting they they are absolutely the best long underwear he's ever had. He doesn't get to hot in them, and they keep him warm all day. Now the only thing that ever gets cold while he's working are his hands occasionally - instead of his legs.

breathable, Good grip and low rolling resistance, High Quality, Superb comfort, Wicking
Best Uses:

I got these about a month ago. Very nice. They definitely keep me warm, but not sweaty. On the trail, they go well under shorts or wind pants and at home, they're cool to just hang out in. I'd recommend. If this was a cooler winter here in New England, they might not be warm enough with just shorts, but they've been great so far!
cheers,
Alex
