These definitely do the trick in keeping the weight down for backpacking. Durability shouldn't be an issue, either.
The one problem - and it is important- is that the handles will get as hot as the pot. They move too freely and nestle against the pot as you are cooking/ heating. You have to move them away from the body of the pots to let them cool before touching.
I backpack - so weight matters. I have used stainless steel for its durability. Since I was in the Army, I learned the value of using reliable equipment; moreover I don't like buying new things unless it's for a very good reason. . .
Lighter Weight and less heat absorption from my stove means less boiling / cooking time, means less fuel use . . . you get the idea. I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT THESE YEARS AGO.
