I bought one for a hiking trip, it was too big.. I'm a 34, 28, 35. My bust size is a small, but waist size a medium according to this sizing chart. :( I bought a medium which was WAY to big, but it did fit my mom perfectly. So, I bought a small and it fits really well! (I also bought the techwick t-shirt.

I travel for long periods of time and because of the techwick shirts I can travel carry on. I use them as layering pieces. I buy them smaller and use them as a turtleneck or I use them as a second or even third layer. I can rinse them out and they are dry the next day or within a few hours. They are starting to get some better color choices that are more flattering and can be useful. I also hike in one every morning and they have been washed a hundred times and are still in great shape.

Cons:
Cannot repair threads, Threads pull easily
Best Uses:

I layer this product for downhill skiing and everyday casual wear. The fabric feels great against the skin. It wicks moisture the way it's supposed to. The downfall is that you have to be careful wearing it. I recently bought some to wear while I recovered from a fall. However, the fabric and the velcro on my brace do not go well together. The fabric threads pull very easily. There's no way to pull them through the other side and the pulled threads ruin the look of the garment. There's a lot of velcro in ski sport wear: jacket closures, glove and mitten closures, pant closures, boot straps, helmet straps, and carrying bags. What can be done?

I've only used this shirt in layering (for outdoor runs) so far since it's still pretty cold out, but it works great. I love the Techwick line because it's moisture-wicking and you don't notice the sweat until you finally take it off. I especially love this shirt because the sleeves are the perfect length. The sleeves on my other quarter-zip Techwick top are a little too short so it's hard to use it as a top layer sometimes because it doesn't offer enough coverage. I can see myself using this shirt that way though.

I bought two and wore them often on a two-week vacation to Italy in the fall. Under a sweater, they even looked fine at dinner. They took up very little space, could be washed by hand in the sink in a hotel if necessary, and dried in a reasonable amount of time. They kept me the right temperature, so no clamminess after hiking around in hot, humid weather. I wish they didn't have a brand logo emblazoned on the chest -- I could have worn them in more settings without that advertisement.

I used to recommend this item to everyone. However, the latest shipment seems unsubstantial, as though it won't hold up through many washings, plus it wrinkles more than the other lightweight Tech tops I have bought.
What I love about the item is that I can wear it for classes at the health club and I can unzip top and/or push sleeves up if it's warm and wear as is if the temperature is a bit coolish.

I've had an older Techwick shirt for awhile and have loved it - wear it skiing all the time even though it's lightweight. [...] I was a little disappointed to find that the sizing on these later ones seems just a little tighter. But what I really don't like on the lighter colored one ("chalk" ) is the label which has been stuck on the inside back of the neckline (where the "label less" information used to be). First, it is a litte uncomfortable and second, you can see it through the back of the light-colored shirt. I will probably send this one back for a refund. One feature I have loved about my older shirt is the lack of annoying labels in the collar.

By Techwick Guru
from Doylestown, PA on 1/2/2007
Sizing:
Feels true to size
Pros:
Breathable, Dries Quickly, Durable, Lightweight
Best Uses:
Nightwear in warm climate, Running, Sailing
I primarily buy these for sailing in warm weather. They are ultra breahable but keep me from burning to a crisp in the hot sun. They are also great for windy/cool nights on warm vacations. Lightweight, easy to pack and they dry very quickly. I also use them for running on cool mornings and find once I warm up they breathe enough I don't have to remove it or can tie it around my waist without feeling restricted.
The only downside I have found is that with all the lines and places to snag clothing on a sailboat I get pulls in these fairly easily. The snags don't affect performance and since I generally don't wear them as 'everday' clothing articles it doesn't really matter.

I have a bunch of these - and the tees - and love them. I use them for travel, either on their own or under the next level techwick top, for warmth. They also look great. The tees I'll wear to the gym or when out biking. I've never had a problem with their durability. I'll be in Laos next month, where it will be in the 40's at night and in the upper 70s during the day so one of these under the light weight techwick fleece will be just the right layers for cool mornings.
