I live in this vest. Had the previous model for 8 years and it finally started to wear. I bought this one so I could wear it dressed up again and dressed down. It's got great style and tremendous functionality. Perfect under a wind breaker for an early morning mountain bike/run or walk with the dog. It comes out of the wash looking great! Equally as perfect with a skirt and blouse while traveling for business or just at the office. It fits nicely under a blazer and is very flattering. Wearing it out for dinner and drinks tonight, and last Sunday, and last Friday night and to the Basketball games on Thursday.

I like this vest. It keeps the core warm and it feels great to touch. I'm a short person however and it tapers to the wrong torso length for me. It really constricts around my hips. If your tall...Go for it, you won't find a better vest.

These products, all the Super MicroFleece, run much smaller than the Tech Wick products. Be sure to order a size larger than you would when ordering Tech Wick. I was quite surprised as my intent was to use this vest and other shirts over Tech Wick for extreme conditions and all were too tight even with nothing but underwear underneath.

I absolutely love this vest. Very flattering fit, and has a longer torso than normal, which is great since I'm tall. It's also very warm, I've worn it over 2 thin thermal layers in winter hikes and been perfectly warm without a jacket or shell. The double thickness at the neck is great for keeping warm as well.

Great for layering. I like to wear it over a turtleneck & under a jacket for horseback riding. It does not restrict my movement because it is fitted & doesn't have a lot of extra bulk. As expected w/ EMS - it is good quality materials and construction.
I noticed some complaints about the sizing - I for one am glad that there is at least one manufacturer out there who makes a size XS that actually IS extra small. It fits me perfectly. If you want something to wear over a bulky sweater or sweatshirt you would want to order a size up (i.e. compare your measurements w/ the extra layers on to the size chart).

If you want to wear it over something bulkier or multiple layers, order a size up. I like this vest because it has a shape and isn't as bulky as other vests I have. I feel like a girl when I wear it.

The vest is longer than I expected, but I guess I'd rather have it too long than too short. It is also more snug than I would have wanted for layering. It works well for running, as my other layers aren't bulky but it limits what I can use the vest for, as I cannot layer it over sweaters or other casual clothes.
I recommend the vest, but would encourage people to consider ordering one size larger than you'd usually wear. You'll get more milage out of it that way.

I brought this on a recent trip to the Sierras. It was left at hot springs, and I spent that evening shivering. As soon as I got home, I went online and bought it again. It is warm, lightweight, moderately wind-proof, wicks surprisingly well for fleece and is well fitted. I am normally a small (size 4) and I bought an xs.

I own several fleece vests from EMS which I have purchased over several years. I was disappointed in the way the vest hangs when unzipped. It curls back and doesn't lie flat. I never had the problem before. Please fix for next year and have someone try these new designs out before you market them. I expect quality from EMS. Also, it's a little too tight around the hips and I'm a fairly small person in the hip area.

I bought this for both my mother and me. We are both very small. Clearly XS. Yet the neck of the vest is so tight that I cannot zip it up at the neck and she (she's older) asked me to exchange for a S for that reason. The S would be way too big for a tidy fit for either of us so I decided to live w/ the neck even tho I don't like it. AND I'm only keeping one of them, not two b/c of that tightness.

There are two things that make this product not just fine, but exactly right: the funnel neck (so you don't have to think about wearing a scarf) and the length in back (so it doesn't ride up and expose part of the back to the cold).

I have two and wear them constantly. It does seem a little tight in the chest (ironic, since I don't really have what one would call, "a chest"), but they look great nonetheless. I wear them virtually every day, in the office over dress shirts as well as just casual. The only thing more I'd change is the color range. I have the black and white.. and could use a brown.

This was exactly what I was hoping it would be. I needed something for running/hiking/x-ctry skiing that would allow me freedom for movement. The neck zips to just below the chin to give extra protection when the wind blows. The pockets on the side are zippered, and almost hidden, but enough room to put what I need in there. It helps protect from wind, and is very warm. It's one of my most usable pieces.

My first super-micro vest I bought probably 4-5 years ago and I still have and love. The newer vests are a lot more fitted and a little shorter than in years past. On the plus size- the fleece seems to now be more tightly woven--making it more wind-proof. I love to use it mountain biking in cold weather.
