I was looking for warm, stylish pants to spend my day in that would take me to a sporting event as well as a PTA meeting. These pants were extremely low cut and thick at the waist. They were very short. The larger size was enormous, not much longer, and still low cut. I liked the overall look, pockets, and boot-cut leg.

Finally! -- a pant that's fitted around the hips for a flattering look but loose elsewhere else for comfort. Wearing mine everyday after work, I felt comfortable keeping the heat lower because of their warmth. They're the pant I crave as I'm finishing a cold-weather run or day of skiing. Despite that I need a petite size pant, the length wasn't overwhelming as a lounge pant.

Just received them today! Overall, I am pleased - nice, warm, stylish. I wish, however, I would have ordered the XS. I am 5'5 at 115lbs and the small is a tad large. For the price, I will keep them and perhaps order another pair in the XS size.

The supermicro fleece pants by EMS are extremely cozy. The fit is a bit on the large size, which only adds to their comfort level. I wore them at a campfire last weekend and was nervous to wash them because I knew they were high-quality fleece, and I did not want to ruin them. However, I was completely pleased to see that they washed and dried perfectly! I am very happy with these pants. They will be perfect for the upcoming cool nights!

These are nicely fitted and not too baggy like most fleece pants. the pockets are perfectly placed, and the drawstring inside is useful without being in the way (although there is enough stretch and fit that it is not essential and the pants don't fall down or anything...). I love the bright teal color for all seasons! I plan to wear these for hanging around the house in the winter, walking the dog in the cold, and also for cozy comfort after skiing or other winter activities I think they are the perfect length for me (5'5"), so they might be on the shorter side for a taller person?

I really like these pants - you can't beat fleece for softness and comfort. They don't pull anywhere and the fit is great. While they are kind of bulky, they are not too heavy. I wear them for just lounging around, trips to the store, and travel.

These are my new favorite pants. I hate the cold weather on my legs and these pants are sooo warm. These pants are lightweight and comfortable and have been a pleasure to wear single layer down to 15 degrees to walk the dog - even in a breeze. An elasticated waist would be a great addition to the drawstring. Haven't had a chance to try them in the snow.

I love the feel of these pants and how warm they are. I also like that they are not only great for wearing around the house but you can also wear them out for a walk on a cold day or when going for a quick run to the grocery store. What I don't like is the shallow pockets....not even big enough to put your hands in. Also when sitting down or bending over there is the peek-a-boo action going on in the back (certainly wouldn't be good on a chilly nite at the campsite).

Cons:
A bit bulky for packing
Best Uses:

I've bought these pants originally for my Arctic trip in Spring (secondary to my snow pants) but decided to give it a test-drive during one of those cold windy day walking in Manhattan. Love them! thinking should buy all 3 colors. ;P i've always been a big fan of fleece and EMS products. These pants are very warm and soft, nice cutting even for an XS person like me, however when it comes to packing, they might be a bit bulky. Excellent for cold weather but not sure if they are really water resistant though (but definitely wind resistant), i will know the answer after my Arctic Trip.

soft but should have used polartec
By RachelVerified Reviewer from Pretoria, South Africa on 11/7/2006
Length:
Feels too short
Cons:
Poor Material or Construction, Should have used polartec
Best Uses:
Cold Weather

I have been very happy in the past buying EMS brand products because you usually use real Gore-tex etc. However the fleece you chose to make these pants is not nearly as good as polar Tec fleece, it catches on every hangnail, gets "pilly" easily and isn't as soft as polar Tec. I would not have bought them if I had felt them in a store, but now I'm too lazy to return them via the mail.
