I wore my WindStopper vest every day during a recent visit to Durango CO. It was perfect atop Mesa Verde, where the wind was howling, but the sun was moderately warm. It was also perfect for the day I spent Soaring (27 zip lines, in and out of shade, up tall trees that swayed in the heavy winds). Lightweight, comfortable, windproof, snuggly. Perfect for ever-changing Colorado weather. Perfect seems to be the key word here, and for good reason. It's a tremendously versatile garment.
Great performance at a great price

I have owned two previous EMS wind stopper vests so am a dedicated fan of the concept. Someone lifted my last one, so time to replace. No more EMS in Boulder! What a shame. But was glad to see it still available online. Used the online sizing guide but it didn't work for me, as the vest was too large. Also, it has been redesigned and the new fabric feels very plastic-y. I'm sure it stops the wind cold, but doesn't have a particularly nice feel. And, as it was more like armor than a piece of clothing, I felt my usage of it would be more limited to just outdoor active wear, than kick around in wear. Then it cost over [$]to return it.

Its a nice vest under an additional layer in cold weather, or by itself in fall and spring - for hiking, camping, in the yard, around town, just about anything.
