I love this jacket! I live in Delaware and it is perfect for the chilly winters! The only con is that it doesn't have a hood for when it snows but besides that, it is perfect, all you need is a hooded sweatshirt underneath and you are set!

The Denali fleece is extremely versatile. It is more of an every day three season jacket and in the cold New England winters all that is needed is a North Face Gore-Tex jacket over it. Although North Face products in general are relatively expensive, they last for ever and have a lifetime warranty, so they are a great value.

I wanted an insert for a outer jacket that I got 2 years ago. I was worried they wouldn't fit together since I hadn't bought the jackets together. But this North Face jacket fit inside the older North Face outer jacket perfectly and is a nice light weight jacket on its own. You can't beat the fit or the quality of these products.

The Denali jacket is sized differently than the EMS jackets. I am a size 4 or 6. In EMS jackets, I wear a size Medium for layering and length of sleeves and torso, because the EMS jackets are fitted. The Denali jacket is less fitted than the EMS jacket. A Medium Denali was a significantly fuller cut. I returned my Medium Denali for a Small which fits very well for casual wear, though the torso ends right on the hip bones, which would be a bit short for truly active wear, as would be the sleeves. As I am using the jacket for casual wear and for daily morning walks, the size Small is fine and looks trimmer than the Medium did. It is important to note that the jacket is not windproof. It is not the best choice for windy weather. It is 300-weight fleece, however, so it makes a great liner in a windproof jacket for cold days. My collegiate daughter, who wears the same size as I do, selected the Medium Denali because she has long arms and wanted the longer torso. She doesn't mind the fuller cut.

It is almost impossible to get my teenage kids to wear jackets in the winter. This jacket is the answer. My kids love the light-weight warmth and casual feel.
