No, I would not recommend this to a friend
The only thing that I did not like about these pants was the high rise waist. I did not realize they fit that way when I ordered them on-line. I have not owned pants with a high rise waist for 20 years so it was very uncomfortable! Because of this, the crotch had too much material when I put my harness on. All else was fine, just not a good fit for me. I ended up returning them.

I wanted a piece of clothing I could take on an extended kayak trip in Italy. I wanted it to be practical and stylish. This is perfect. It dries quickly and fits well, but still allows movement, and I won't feel like a slob walking into town for a cappucino!
