I haven't worn these hiking yet, but look forward to being able to switch from pants to shorts as needed. My other EMS hiking pants (not zip-off style) are great, so I was pleased to see these on sale.
Would buy again- need new colors.

I'm an avid hiker. This is my second pair of the exact same pants. I bought the first pair to hike & backpack in New Mexico. I have an extremely hard time finding clothing to fit as I am only 5 feet tall. The pants were perfect for my trip and I will take both pair with me this summer when I hike in Wyoming & Montana. Keep up the good work in sizing. Will also use for cross country skiing.[...]

I usually have a difficult time finding this type of pant long enough for me so was pleased with the length. Will one of 3 pairs of pants for a 3 week trip to Peru and Ecador. Looks like with hand launder well.

The only thing I would change about these pants is the color. Mine are light grey which shows the dirt too much when hiking and climbing. [...]

I bought this in beige and wore it in Peru. It was excellent- deep pockets to put plane tickets in, loose for long plane rides, functional for travel and hiking montu picchu. I wanted it in another color so I got this one. If you are super duper skinny, it may be too loose-

I bought my first pair four years ago in New York City. They were bright green. Everytime I wear them (which is very often) I get comments on how unique and pretty they are and "where can I get A pair". I just bought my 2nd pair in the only color available (gray) and I would love to have more colors available.

Nice fitting hiking pant. I like the convertible feature - zip off legs to make shorts. I'm glad you offer these pants in different lengths - it's difficult to find hiking pants in Short length. Great price too! Only color is monument grey? How about some more colors??

I find it very difficult to find. I buy as much of it as possible when my size is available. I wait for months until I find that my size is there and then I dig in. I am always afraid that they won't be offered any more. PLEASE offer more colors and especially lengths. They are very important on trips to the Amazon, or hiking in big temperature differences. Please offer them rear-round because travel to Asia is best in the winter. Same for Africa trips. And THANK YOU for a great product that my husband and I (and all our relatives) have been using for many years!

Like other reviewers, I am hard to fit. Who knew someone might be tall and thin? EMS did! Notice that the Mountain Hardwear zip off pants come in fewer size options and cost twice as much!
These pants look much nicer on you than they do in the picture and are quite comfortable.
The pockets are incredible. Often times makers stick a bunch of small pockets on and call it "cargo pants" but the pockets are too small to really be useful. Not so here. The four front pockets are so deep that I can fit my hand in past the wrist. Carry snack bars, small cameras and more. The smaller zip pocket is great for your keys.
Finally....the right fit!

Being short and "solid" often makes it hard to find a comfortable fit with style and durability.

Sturdy but lightweight and comfortable. I wish they came in more colors. I have black---not too fond of grey. I'll probably buy another pair in black because I wear them so often. I like the color-coded zippers on the legs--makes it easy to reattach pants.

My husband and I both bought pairs of these pants as they have the Men's also. They keep us dry during hiking, and after wading in creeks, and the best part is the zip off feature converting them to shorts, which you could do right on the trail. They are lightweight, and you can wear them out to dinner like a sporty version of khakis.
