Comments about OBOZ Men's Sawtooth Low WP Hiking Shoes:

I bought these shoes for a few days of hiking in the white mountains in early summer late spring. I found them extremely comfortable immediately, no break in required. The conditions of the terrain we hiked varied extremely and I found that the shoes performed excellently in all but one area. I learned the hard way several times over that the soles of these shoes are EXTREMELEY slippery on rock faces of any angle when even so much as dampened.

Comments about OBOZ Men's Sawtooth Low WP Hiking Shoes:

Hikeing the adrondack high peaks. On a 3 day trip 50 miles. Caused chafing on the anckle bone as well as on the heal, only one boot tho. The tow rubber is pealing back on both. Beside this the boat tread is great for all summer ADK terrain.

    really like them!

Comments about OBOZ Men's Sawtooth Low WP Hiking Shoes:

I use these shoes for everything as I don't buy a lot of clothes. Seams /threads started coming out 2nd day I had them. Had to snip threads and secure with super glue. Not a big deal but shouldn't have to do that. Inexcusable from a manufacturing standpoint. Love the shoes though.

Comments about OBOZ Men's Sawtooth Low WP Hiking Shoes:

I use this as an everyday shoe. I wear wool socks and use a shoe horn. They are comfortable. They are, however, falling apart at the toe and heel after one year. I would not buy these again.

Comments about OBOZ Men's Sawtooth Low WP Hiking Shoes:

With wide feet and fallen arches, this boot fit remarkably well. The removable insole was sufficiently firm and high that my usual orthotics wasn't necessary for good arch support. It was also wide enough(a size "wide" isn't available)without being too tight with medium- weight Smart Wool hiking sox. After hiking 4-5 hours, my feet was still dry and pain free. I'd give this product 5 stars EXCEPT it's TERRIBLE on wet/flat rocks(on a wet day, my hiking companions did not have the same issues with their boots).

Comments about OBOZ Men's Sawtooth Low WP Hiking Shoes:

I shopped in our local EMS store in early August 2014 and asked to try on the best low cut hiking shoe with excellent arch support. The salesperson showed me the Oboz Men's Sawtooth shoe. I purchased those shoes just before our three-week Safari trip to Africa. These shoes were comfortable and supportive right from the start. These were the ONLY shoes I took on our trip. I wore them every day all day long, sometimes for 15-16 hours straight. I was amazed and pleased at how comfortable and supportive they were on our African journey. Highly recommended!

Comments about OBOZ Men's Sawtooth Low WP Hiking Shoes:

When I received these shoes, I tried them on and walked around the house with them for awhile. They felt a bit snug, but seemed to have the required clearance for my toes, so I decided to keep them. Having used them for two weeks now (walking and at work), I have the following comments:

The shoes appear to be well-built and look like they'll last a long time. Like a lot of companies these days, they use webbing lash points for the laces rather than grommeted eyelets; I have had issues with the webbing tearing on other brands...

The front of my feet are pretty wide, and these shoes don't accomodate my feet very well... I normally wear a size 10 1/2, and perhaps going to a half size larger would work better - so they may run a half-size small.

I've used them with a variety of socks (as well as sockless) and these shoes are hot. After awhile my feet are screaming "Please release me!"

So overall, from my perspective, these are a well-built shoe, but I wouldn't recommend them for long hiking situations (which is what I bought them for).

Comments about OBOZ Men's Sawtooth Low WP Hiking Shoes:

When I first put this shoe on, I thought, "Oh yeah, these are great," and the first few days they were. Then I went on my first serious walk - about 10km. I noticed a pinch point near the ball of my foot and on each of my outer toes. At 50 km on the shoe, I tried switching my Birkenstock footbed, but the narrow toe box didn't allow that. Moleskin, and careful lacing, with a more gentle break in has made these a decent hiking shoe. With almost 300km on them now, they fit well as long as I lace them loose in the toe and increasing tightness up the shoe. Undecided if I would buy another pair or not.
