Comments about OBOZ Women's Bridger BDry Hiking Boots:

I have only had these boots for one week, and I was unsure about them at first. I spent a long time in the store trying to make the best decision before I brought them home. I wore them around the house for a week because I was told they would need break-in time and I didn't want to get blisters. Around the house, my feet kept going numb after just minutes wearing them. I later went back to the store for something else, and was shown a different way of lacing them because I have sort of vascular feet. I also tied them a little looser than I thought they needed to be. Since then, they've felt great!

I tried them out for the first time yesterday, just going on a walk around a rural community. They felt good, so today I took them on a hilly 4 mile hike with a mixture of dirt and rocky terrain. It was GLORIOUS, and I have never felt that comfortable hiking around. I am used to more minimalist shoes, so I wasn't sure how I'd feel about ones this supportive, but it was great! I ran down some of the steeper hills, and the shoes handled it very well - no discomfort, no instability, nothing. There was some deep mud in a few spots, but I made no effort to go around it. Towards the end I decided to see how waterproof they really were, so I walked through a creek that was about 3" deep. The mud came right off, and the water beaded off until the second I got out of the water, when they were perfectly dry.

So far my doubts are gone! I love these and never dreamed of such a combination of comfort and support in a pair of boots. Planning on going on several multi-day hikes in the next year or two, we'll see how they hold up!

Comments about OBOZ Women's Bridger BDry Hiking Boots:

I took these on a 15 mile round trip hike up Mount Marcy in the Adirondacks. I didn't get to do a smaller hike to break them in, i just wore them around the house and out for a day to make sure I could walk in them. If there is one thing you take away from this review it's that these boots are amazing. They are so comfortable and I am very happy with this purchase. They are high enough to provide stability around the ankles but low enough and have plenty of padding to prevent blisters and unnecessary rubbing. They absorb shock really well and are very durable. The waterproof aspect has been tested and works great as well. Just make sure to go a little bigger when you're buying and wear wool socks if you're going hiking to make sure they'll fit well enough. I would recommend these to anyone looking to buy really!

I bought the Oboz Sawtooth low-top hikers at the EM store in NH. I loved them so much, I bought these high-top hikers online. Be sure to try these on. I took and 8 in these (my true size) but took a 7.5 in the low-top Sawtooth. I tried Keens (too wide),Merrils (too thin - no support). I love the Oboz.

Comments about OBOZ Women's Bridger BDry Hiking Boots:

I bought a pair of these in January and wore them as my major outside walking shoes for the rest of the winter which seemed to go straight through March up to the present. Because they were waterproof and the sole provides insulation from the ground, with winter socks they were fine in the worst weather. I made a bit of a mistake in sizing up a full size because my half size wasn't in - but it wasn't a disaster(heavy socks)

What I really like is that my heel and foot seem to stay in place because of the design of the footbed itself. With narrow heels, I often find that I am pulling ties on sneakers and hiking boots so tight that it bothers the top of my foot, but not with these. I do have a little problem snugging them around my ankle ( long feet, small ankles). For me - good arch support ( no need for superfeet insoles). The soles and insoles also feel "just right" - not too hard, not too soft. And they are so light! I think they are lighter than some dress shoes.
