- Packs small
Comments about OUTDOOR RESEARCH Men's Helium II Jacket:
jacket packs down very small and stows easily in its internal pocket. i am 5'5", 135" and the small fits perfect. the main uses i bought it for are backpacking and multipitch climbing. so far,i have only been in the rain with it during a backpacking trip, where i hiked most of the day in a medium drizzle to light rain. the jacket kept out all the rain, but it also got a little swampy inside from perspiration (not much ventilation.) i had to open the front zip to breath a bit. jacket works great as windbreaker as well. also fits a climbing helmet under the hood (wild country 360 53-61cm). only complaint i have is the wrist cuffs are a little loose. this is a great jacket when the weather turns foul, but i would get choose a beefier jacket if i was knowingly going out into a storm.
