I use to wear water sandals which worked fine until you got that little peddle wedged under your foot. Being skeptical of those minimal shoes with the individual toes which are like gloves, these are like feet mittens. They go on snug and stay on all day/ I wear them to and from the beach, driving and general outdoor work. Sand, pebbles and other tiny objects no longer bother me. The only drawback maybe that you need to be careful to remove them at the end of the day.
