Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's ENDO Peak Jacket:
I've been buying fleece hoodies looking for one that's stylish and warm and this is it. The lining is a soft fleece and super warm. I've been wearing it as a my primary coat this winter(20's+). I love it. Haven't had a chance to use it in wet weather yet.
Pros

Cons
- A little Heavy

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's ENDO Peak Jacket:
Great cold weather soft shell. Well constructed and appears very durable. Feels a little heavy but is no heavier than a shell and a mid layer. Wind and water resistant but won't stand up to a downpour. Looks nice- molten red. Great for the cold and looks good in he city. The problem with all the superlight pertex shells are that they will tear if you hike in the brush. This fabric will take some abuse.Undersand no shell can do everything.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's ENDO Peak Jacket:
This is a nice jacket for cool weather. It has some insulation and is wind resistant so it works well in New England weather. It's especially nice in spring and fall when it can be raw and in the 40's. It repels rain nicely. I prefer the hood in the open position rather than rolled up and inserted into the Velcro enclosure so it doesn't bunch of at the neckline/collar area.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's ENDO Peak Jacket:
Great lightweight jacket-----Very comfortable, only complaint is when wearing hood the top edge hangs partially over your eyes and have to keep pulling it out of my line of sight-Beyond that its perfect, Very warm and comfortable and nothing sticks to it like most fleece jackets where everything is static clung to them.

At 5'10" and 175lbs a medium fit me but I bought a large so I could wear additional layers when needed. Great for all active sports. Hood is a plus and pockets are good with backpack. Have only been in light rain and jacket seemed fine.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's ENDO Peak Jacket:
I have been looking for a great softshell for a while now, and specifically one that was not borring black. EMS finally came though with with two great colors, red and yellow so i got the yellow. The fit is nearly perfect and the interior is a lovely plush fleece that fives it just enough extra warmth. There is just enough room in it for an extra layer or two without getting to tight. Havent been able to test it yet in the rain or wind, so looking forward to that. The only negative i have to say is it needs another pocket, either on the inside or outside of the chest would be great. Pit zips would be a nice touch too.
Pros
- Comfortatble And Well Fit
- High Quality
- Love The Yellow
- Well Made
Cons
- none
Best Uses
- Dog Walking On A Blustery

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's ENDO Peak Jacket:
Bought the Endo last year because I like the idea of a softshell with a heavy fleece, and thought I'd switch it out with a primaloft EMS Titan-like hoodie. For a pretty heavy season of ice climbing in the Catskills, the primaloft stayed on the shelf.
Surprisingly, the weight is nearly equal to a primaloft hoodie (1 lb 16 oz vos 1 lb 14) and the Endo softshell turns water, is extremely climbable (brought it to do the Lower Exum Ridge and switched as belay jacket - buddies loved it!), and the insulation in it doesn't get compressed like primaloft or down (sitting, leaning, harness).
Also it has a polyester fleece which is very nicely hydrophobic, and the nylon soft shell is super durable. Typically I wore it in all temps below 50 f. If it got colder, then a shell, and used a big down jacket when belaying. Only suggestion for improvement is pit-zips because no matter what temperature when going heavy aerobic, it got hot in there! But it breathes better than anything else that heavy, so I'm looking forward to another season in it.
Make sure you try it on because I wore a small in the Endo - 5 ft 9 in athletic, and I've only seen EMS making it!
Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Men's ENDO Peak Jacket:
I use the jacket as a soft shell under my Ski-Patrol vest. It is perfect for long active cold days. I usually have a base layer under it. I roll up the hood and tuck it in itself as a neck gator. Works great.
