Crash Pad Bad Seams

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Crash Sleeping Pad:

I bought these a couple of years ago and was initialty happy with them. However, last year ALL the seams failed. I tried gluing them with GOOP which worked for all of 5 minutes before the seam down the line failed. At this point they are glued about 60% of the perimeter and I GIVE UP.
Without holding air these pads are essentially worthless--your tush will be killing you in the morning.
This is inexcuseable planned obsolescence if ever there was such a thing.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I have owned one of these for over 6 years and have used it at least 100x's. If you compare this pad to others, you'll understand what you are getting. It is comfortable and durable. I have used this across four seasons and for backpacking and car camping. I am hesitant to rate this because everything has to be rated on it's own merit. For what it is and how long it has lasted, I would give it 5 stars.
