Comments about LA SPORTIVA Women's Raptor Trail Running Shoes:
Bought these mountain runners per a recommendation from one of my hiking buddies, and they are not a disappointment. I'm a long-distance White Mountain hiker (20+ miles/hike) who traditionally hikes in Vibram KSOs, however I wanted something else to supplement the Vibrams in trickier and longer-distance terrain - and the thought of putting on boots just wasn't exciting me. The Raptors are so lightweight and perform just as well on the trails as the Vibrams. GREAT treads on the bottoms, very sticky for wet and dry rock slabs. Great stability and fit wonderfully. My only sticking point is that the laces loosen up quickly and the tongue twists easily during the trip; not worth dinging it with the rating, but just a watch out. Great investment!

Comments about LA SPORTIVA Women's Raptor Trail Running Shoes:
These shoes rock, and yes I am going after the pun! That was my wife told me after wear la spotiva raptor! she said: They are a little heavy, but worth there weight in gold! They have a lot of padding for extra comfort, and I always tend to get sore arches, but not in these shoes! And when I get to the base of the climb, I keep them on for cold days, and can still climb in these shoes! The rubber is great, and seems comparable to the rubber on my TC Pro rock shoes! They really do "stick like glue". They have great traction, and are an all around great shoe!

Comments about LA SPORTIVA Women's Raptor Trail Running Shoes:
I did the presidential traverse in the White Mountains 3 days after purchasing these shoes.I wanted sticky soles for all that rock hopping. These worked really well. Sure my feet were tired after 20 miles and 8500ft of elevation gain, but no rubbing, no blisters and no falling off of wet rocks. In other La Sportiva styles I take various sizes--Imogene 38.5, Wildcat gtx 39.5 Ultranord 39. In the raptor I am wearing a 40. They seem to run a bit small.

Comments about LA SPORTIVA Women's Raptor Trail Running Shoes:
I hike 2-3 times a week in the desert. So far I think these shoes are comfortable. The large toe box is a plus when you stub your toes on large rocks. I hope they wear well over the next several months.

I love this shoe. I use it in the northeast for trail running and hiking. I wish it was Goretex so I could use it in the winter too!
