I bought this jacket initially as a Christmas gift for my son. I liked his and wanted to upgrade from my Arcteryx softshell, so tried it on and got myself one. I have used it several days out ice climbing and have been very pleased with it. Gave away one other softshell already.Very comforatble and warm. Accepts helemt use easily. Great jacket at this price.

very stout jacket, built with a virtual fleece midlayer as its internal backing. Great for all but running. If you get hot just unzip the darn thing.Wind and waterproof says marmot website and i buy that up to a point. Reach for the hard shell when weather gets too intense.I REALLY value stuff that wont tear with an armload of firewood and this fits that bill as well as having all those tech qualities we are all getting spoiled by.EMS was spot on,no complaints!
