I purchased a North Face fleece jacket for my daughter last year. This winter I felt she should have an outer shell she can zip the fleece jacket into. I purchased the Varius Guide Jacket from EMS online, as my local EMS had no stock. I was disgusted to find that the zippers were incompatible and found out North Face changes it's zippers yearly. That's not nice. Although this jacket was well made, that business practice turns me off!

I took my jacket to Italy to do cross-country skiing. The outer shell was great for xcskiing with layers underneath and to add warmth when I wasn't skiing, I added the inner shell.

Purchased for winter hiking and snowshoeing. Like the way it extends in the back. Plan on wearing
it spring and fall as well for biking, walking and hiking. When I put it on it feels like a well made quality jacket.

This item has been returned. I was looking for a warm winter jacket. I did not consider this a winter jacket. Too light.

Unfortunately the same zipper size/style is not available every year so the zipper styles can be changed each season, and the only way to know is to actually try to connect the too. It's not ideal, but it's industry wide. We'll change our description to specify it's compatible with same year models!
