I'll never wear jeans again. Gusset crotch and articulated knees make these pants super comfy. Nice heavy duty fabric and plenty of pockets.

Only negative, the rivets on the back pockets may prematurely wear holes if dried in a drier by itself

Bought them for casual wear and working around the house and yard as a replacement for jeans. Super comfortable. Liked them so much that I bought a pair of Revolvr pants. Same great style and fit with a lighter material.

You can tell Kuhl is doing something right!
These are my jeans replacement going forward.
The pants seem durable but with a supple feels to them. Although it will take a few (like about 10) washing cycles to get them to loosen up a bit.
Keep in mind that these are not slim cut by any means. They are a little loose but not too baggy either. I wear 38/30 jeans and these Kuhls fit a lot better but still have room in thigh area.
I have been using them for cool weather hiking and just around town.
The cell phone pocket is what brought the rating up to a 5.

I got these pants last Christmas. I loved them immediately. I'm very hard on the pants that I wear, and I work outside on the side of a mountain all summer. I put these pants through their paces and then some. I had only a few complaints: The pocket in back ripped where the above reviewer posted a picture of. I think putting my wallet in and out just stressed them out. They then ripped across the top in back where the belt area is. I just wore the threads down there. Sadly, the coup d'grace was then the crotch ripped. It started as a hole, but by the end it had torn all the way down to one knee. They were good pants, but I would have liked to see them last longer than 8 months. It should be noted that I was REALLY, REALLY tough on these pants. I would, and WILL buy them again.

Saw a price reduction that made these Kuhls worth trying. The material seems a bit "loud" and rough the first time worn, but seems to have softened after repeated uses. Very sturdy and the color is attractive. Hopefully, it won't fade too much after a few washes. Very satisfied overall with this pair and wouldn't mind getting more items from Kuhl in the future.

I purchased these pants one month ago. They fit true to size and have a nice cut, but I have issues with the fabric and dye. I purchased a 30" x 30", which fits good as long as I'm careful with the dryer setting, but I would have preferred a 31" x 30" which is not available. After wearing the pants 8 times and only 3 times in the washer, there is a gaping hole through the seat of the pants from the rivet in the left rear pocket. It is unacceptable for any pants costing [$] to fall apart so quickly, much less ones that are supposed to be designed for mountaineering. This material is not rugged or durable at all. I also noticed that when the pants came out of the washer, they had permanent light streaks where the dye washed out in areas that the material creased during the cycle. Again, after only 3 washes I have a pair of [$] pants with a huge hole and light streaks. I would not recommend these pants to anyone. While they are comfortable and fit great, they are not made from quality materials... and from my experience will not last. Luckily, I can return them for a refund.
