Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Boreal 0° Sleeping Bag, Regular:
I find that I am cold all the time. I tried multiple sleeping bags before this one. My toes were never cold. It moved with me instead of just me moving inside. A little staticy but the more I use it the less it is. Absolutely love this bag!

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Boreal 0° Sleeping Bag, Regular:
Have used this bag three times. The first night the temperature was 25 degrees, I was very cold. The second night the temperature was approximately 35 and it was cool but not completely uncomfortable. The third night it was 55 degrees and the bag was comfortable. It was almost like the bag was misrated. It clearly says zero degrees but you could not tell that from my experience.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Boreal 0° Sleeping Bag, Regular:
This bag is warm, I have no doubt I would be happy at 0 degrees but have only tested it down to 20. It's not especially roomy inside but it's not constrictive either. I can sleep on my side or down flat and roll around without much of a problem. I am 5'10" and it fits me just about perfectly in the regular size. If I were any taller I would probably not be happy with it, but a 5'11" person might fit ok as long you really used the bag from hood to bottom. I've also gotten it wet and it dried fairly quickly (albeit indoors). The bag is fairly heavy so while it's fine for short trips I'm not sure you would want to take it on extended ones. It also doesn't pack that small, even with the stuff sack. I can squeeze my 20 degree EMS Boreal bag into the bottom compartment of my backpack but this one wouldn't come close to getting in there.
I'm happy with it because I got a good price. I might consider trying to find something that packs smaller if I were to do it over again (down?) but I think this will do the trick for me for one or two night trips. I would recommend this bag at the right price and if weight/packability isn't a big concern.

Merchant response: Thank you for your review! We're sorry to hear you were not warm in this bag as our testing, and some independent testing, has shown it is a great zero degree bag. However how warm a sleeping bag will keep you depends on many factors such as the quality of sleeping pad, personal metabolism, etc. Some people just sleep colder. We recommend choosing a sleeping bag rated 20 degrees warmer than you intend to sleep. Make sure you have a quality insulated sleeping pad, and are well fed and hydrated before turning it. I use a sleeping bag liner by Sea to Summit that easily adds 15 more degrees. Your complete satisfaction with your EMS purchase is our first priority, so if this bag is not cutting it for you please return it via our Return Policy. We carry quite a few warmer bags and a -15 or warmer bag may be perfect for you!
