Very nice boot, the leather is o the highest quality and the distressed toe offers that stylish look that most books fail to incorporate. They are very comfortable and has little break in time. Furthermore, the icepick system is a must in your colder climates. They seem to be try to size and the effectiveness of the waterproofing is second to none. The only downside I have found is the tongue of the book only provides protection against the elements i.e. snow, water, half way up the boot. If North Face in there design connected the tongue to the boot the entire way up it would provide much more protection to the elements that tend to cause wetness. All-in-all it is a great buy and worth every penny.

These are surprisingly warm - primaloft is good stuff. They are waterproof out of the box, but I added my own waterproofing to the seams anyway (something I always do). I love the style and they look great with jeans around town. The best thing about them is the comfort, though. There was literally no break in time, but they are completely supportive. They're cushiony but not soft, and feel very sure-footed. I don't intend to use them on the trail, but I have no doubt I could. Awesome boots.

These boots are pretty great. I've been wearing them almost everyday for three months now. They've kept my feet warm and dry truding through foot deep snow, slush, and -20 winds. I use them riding my motorcycle and no wind gets through and they are sure footed when I put a foot down at lights. The cushioning is really good and comfortable. They didn't take long to break in at all. Plenty of toe box room too. The toes have gotten scuffed from kneeling on rough garage floors but the leather is staying together.
There is really only one problem: when I wear them to work(indoors) my feet heat up a lot. It doesn't seem to matter what kind of sock I wear. My feet get hot just sleeping so it pretty much happens with every shoe I wear, especially leather boots.
