I bought this part thinking it would be a superior alternative to blowing up pads by mouth. Unfortunately it is not any quicker. It may save you a bit of hyperventilation and excessive drool, but I think you're better off saving your $[$]. It is well built, and innovative, and continues to instill my brand loyalty to Nemo Equipment, however in this case I think less is more (use your mouth :)).

If you don't want to be light-headed for the rest of the evening after blowing up your Neo-Air, pick one up. It works very well. I use the size Large Thermarest Neo-Air mattress and it will fill it in less than 100 pumps, or only a few minutes. I did need to make an adapter for the thermarests by adding a small piece of vinyl tubing to the air out hole. It stays in place and packs all up in it's little stuff sack. It can be a little slow on the refill between each pump, but I think overall it's a good thing to have if you own a blow up mattress.
