I live in Vermont and spend most of my days with these on using them to do tasks outside in the winter to walking downtown to taking a hike and they're great for all of these situations. So far, these are great, warm and my wife wears the female version. I'd recommend them....

I have 33 years of airline employments! I've bought and worn every shoe type there is, from steel toe to knock offs to trade shoes sold by well known companies! I went to a EMS in Monmouth, NJ and talked to a young lady who was also a "foot guru" I took the hook and was sold by her knowledge and brand loyalty! I also bought "Superfeet" insoles based on her recommendation"! Very smart move on my part, as this is the 1st time in 33 years, I don't come home with Burning Feet! I will never again buy anywhere else except EMS. By the way, with the Foot Guru, it was the 1st time in years, a store employee actually fitted my foot for true sizing!

Bought these for hiking and w/e camping, but find that I wear them all the time. Light weight, comfortable and waterproof. I did not realize that Merrell's are notoriously narrow. I had to return them for a Wide, and almost considered going up a 1/2 size from my normal shoe size. Be sure to try them on at a local retailer.
