Comments about METOLIUS Ropemaster Rope Bag:
This would be a nice rope bag if the shoulder / carrying strap was mounted to the bag higher UP on the sides of the bag thus preventing the bag from constantly flipping upside down and inverting when trying to carry it over the shoulder! My friend who has one warned me of this - and he was right! It has dumped my rope out of the bag when carrying more times then I care to remember! Where they mounted the shoulder straps creates a pivot point on the bag and makes it keep flipping upside down.
Buy another brand bag - this one will drive you crazy!

Comments about METOLIUS Ropemaster Rope Bag:
This rope bag works great for me! Simple design, has a shoulder strap for carrying over the shoulder and also a nylon grab handle on the end as well to carry as well. Easy on/off buckles that cinch up easily and also has a 'snug up' toggle cord to draw up bacg around the rope if desired once rope is all tucked in as well. All in all - works just fine for me and I like it.
The only thing I wish it had a a shoulder strap that was just a tad longer for when I carry the bag across my body instead of slung over my shoulder alone.

Comments about METOLIUS Ropemaster Rope Bag:
The rope tarp in this bag is quite large and the bag itself has plenty of room for a 60m rope, and probably would fit a 70m. The cinch closure and compression straps are nice. I only wish it had some additional pockets for gear and such.
Comments about METOLIUS Ropemaster Rope Bag:
I use this to manage and protect my rope -- so far only for winter ice climbing. Holds a 70m rope with room to spare. Looks like it could hold enough to leave your pack at the car with a shoulder strap and handles for easy carrying, but not sure I will ever use it like that. Almost too much since it takes up a lot of room in the pack and straps/handles get in way. It has compression straps and a draw cord synch so I should be able to get it down smaller. I suppose there are more streamlined bags for this. Packing issues aside, the benefits of having a large "tarp" to spread out and keep the rope clean and other gear organized is great on single pitch climbs. It has a pocket built in for stuffing the rope in and moving between climbs without having to wrap it all up -- this works, but I use it for securing other items so they don't slide down the mountain.
