Representing the middle ground between the traditional gate carabiner and the classic wire gate carabiner, the Petzl Ange S weighs an ultralight 28 grams and provides optimal weight/strength ratio.Features/Benefits:

I'm using this Petzl biner for a totally different purpose: it holds my custom 5-foot grip lanyard together. I have over two dozen pony clamps in varying sizes I use on location for video shoots. I like this biner's simple, clean design. It fits the eye splices of the lanyard perfectly. The single narrow wire gate makes it easier to slide off the lanyard when I need to strap this to something on set to hang it up, but it is plenty secure to hold everything together. So what was the deciding factor in this purchase? I like the orange color in that most of my video and grip equipment has some sort of orange color or marking so my crew sees it when we strike down and it reduces the chance of leaving any gear behind. Liked it so much I bought a second one for a smaller lanyard.
