Comments about PEARL IZUMI Pro Softshell Lobster Bike Gloves:
I bought these gloves for my son who sails a small boat in early spring. They work better than ANY other gloves we have tried. They are warm when wet and are durable for sailing. He wears them with a thin wool liner. We have searched for a good solution to cold hands in wet conditions and this is the best we have found.

Comments about PEARL IZUMI Pro Softshell Lobster Bike Gloves:
My hands get very cold easily. I wore these gloves last night during a mt bike ride of a bit longer than 1 hour @ 28 degress (F). They were very, very good.
My fingers stayed super warm; I did notice a small amount of hand sweat about midway through the ride. I took them off for a couple minutes during a water break, and sweat was a non-issue during the rest of the ride.
Grip is very good out-of-the-box, though I wonder about long-term durability of the palm/finger grips. One issue I found is that the ample insulation can bunch up under your palm, which is uncomfortable when you grip the handlebar. This was easy enough to adjust so that it went away, but it was mildly annoying. The potential durability issue and bulky palm insulation are the only reasons I didn't give these gloves 5 stars.
I was skeptical of the 2-finger design of this glove - it reminds me of the lobster gloves I have for scuba diving here in New England. It wasn't an issue though: they're very comfortable. It was equally comfortable riding with a full grip on the bars, or riding with 2 fingers on the brake.
