Comments about MONTBELL Thermawrap Pro Jacket - Women's:
I love this jacket. At first I thought it wouldnt be very warm because it's so light, but I find I take it off very quickly when winter hiking because it's too warm! I love that it packs away into a fairly small size in the stuff sac. Seems durable so far, it's been on a fair number of hikes and been accidentally brushed on rocks and over braches without incident. I also find that it is fitted and attractive enough to wear as an everyday jacket, unlike most outdoor gear. The only complaint I have with this jacket is that the pocket zippers can easily get snagged on the extra fabric inside the pockets and I have to spend a good few minutes easing the extra fabric out of the zipper.

In the PacNW you always need to plan for rain. Synthetic is better than down, and this jacket is WARM, light and form-fitting for best insulation.

Comments about MONTBELL Thermawrap Pro Jacket - Women's:
Loved the jacket. I was worried about sizing but I heard this model is the slimmest of the Montbells. I got the S (UK sizing) which is the smallest one they sell in the US and it fit well. It could have been smaller but I don't look like a michelin man & I do like the option of fitting more underneath. I'm 5'2"/105lbs/32B. I normally wear it with a sweater or long sleeve shirt underneath but I can also just wear a t-shirt and be warm around the Bay Area. If I really wanted to, I could also layer my Archteryx Atom LT (xs) under and my Marmot Minimalist shell (xs) over to increase insulation. The insulated hoodie is a great option!
I just wish they made their down jackets in an XS (I also tried their down jackets and smalls are MUCH larger and were just too baggy). I'm sticking with this one. Love the jacket and I'm getting one for my boyfriend and my mom!
