I absolutely love these shoes. Although I feel like this year's brand is a bit stiff and a little narrower, however, once I broke the shoes in- they were perfect for me. I have flat feet and the cushion on the shoes are terrific. I run ultra marathons and I use the shoes for both my training runs and official runs. They are great for the trails, and if you're looking for a shoe that you need to be tough on your strong runs but comfortable with your feet, then I recommend these shoes.

I wear these shoes all day every day. I have just replaced my third pair (each pair lasts about a year) and plan to stick with these shoes as my 'everything' shoe. I can use them for light hiking and gym, as well as everyday wear. This is my fourth pair of these shoes. They are hands-down the best trail running/hiking shoes I've owned (and I've owned many in my 52 years...) I'll echo what an earlier reviewer mentioned: that this year's model is a bit narrower and stiffer than previous years, however, after a bit of a break-in period, they're just fine. Love 'em and am always on the lookout for a sale on these rather pricey shoes...

I really like Salomon shoes. They are comfortable and fit me well. I wear these shoes daily. These don't breathe as well as the non-gore tex models, so I use a non-gore tex shoe in the summer. I like the quick lace system, but I have had some trouble with the eyelets (not the laces) breaking in the past, which caused me to not buy them for a couple years. But I've gone back to them, and my most recent purchases have held up. The problem may have been caused by using the shoes without always tightening the laces. I can usually get a year of daily, non-athletic use out of the shoes before they lose support.
