Comments about FISCHER S-Bound 98 Skis:
So I got my Fischer S-Bound 98 189s before the snow fell 2011. I had at that time NNN-BC Magnum bindings on them and skied most of the winter in a pair of Fischer BCX6 boots. Grate setup for rolling terrain with the occasional good downhill run. For this year I switched my setup for more downhill control. I've gone to the the Voile 3-pin 75mm Cable telemark bindings and the Fischer BCX875 boots. The Fischer S-Bound 98s are grate in the backcountry giving plenty of flotation in powder and good edge control on sun crust. I went to the next size up for my weight I ski with a bakepack and plenty of stoff. In the Cascades it is hard to find more then three feet of flat level ground. I've used them at a Nordic center and at a downhill ski resort with good results at both.
