I have been lusting after Chacos for years apparently for no reason. I have a narrow, but long (size 9) foot. I tightened the straps as tight as possible and they still aren't tight enough...specifically, the heel strap (not adjustable) is loose and even with the other straps as tight as possible, they still aren't tight enough to stay on my foot. Even if they did, the excess strap that you pull on for the final fit is really long and it didn't seem like there was anywhere to attach it to. Guess I'll stick with Tevas. Wide-footed folks will do great with Chacos.

It definitely took me a while to get the straps adjusted comfortably and to sort of break them in, but I love these shoes! They are perfect for walking across campus--they're comfortable, can be paired with pretty much any outfit and they won't fall apart like my other sandals.

Only cons are that I tried a tea and it was more cushiony comfortable, but the Chaco isn't uncomfortable, just not pillowy. Fits foot well and you can walk miles in them. Waited a couple months and hikes to post this. Only one blister. Easier to take on and off than I expected. Agreed they look good with jean shorts and I like that I can go from groceries store, to car, to kayak, to trail to rocks, and not change the footwear once!
Not going out of fashion, and life time warranty!

I walk up a very steep hill in the rockies to go to work 5 times a week. these shoes took a couple of times to break in but now they are fabulous. i got some blisters from a five mile "easy" hike. but that's because i don't have normal arches. once my blisters heal my feet will have thicker skin there. p.s. i have not taken them off since i've gotten them. I wear them with skirts jeans shorts and have gotten so many compliments. mostly from looking stylish and earthy at the same time and that = HOT. hahaha.
