Super comfy socks to wear on warmer days. I wear the EMS wool socks for temps under 50 and these go on above 50. Reduces sweating tremendously keeping your feet dry and comfy on tough climbs. I've been waiting to order some of their "Light Weight" coolmax socks for summer hiking, but they have not had any XL's for a while. What gives?

I used these on a hunting trip during the Thanksgiving holiday. I went out on a day with snow and fog in an area with a combination of steep hills, open space, and a large foothills spring (soft swampy area along a sloped valley). These socks performed beautifully while hiking and dragging a deer out. The problem I have with socks is heel abrasion. These were the most durable socks for my feet that I have worn to date. They also kept me warm during the hike, which was cold and wet with strong breezy winds. The moisture wicking was superb and I didn't need liners. I highly recommend these socks for hiking and heavy exertion activities.

These are the best hiking socks ever. I bought one pair at a retail shop in Lake Placid while on a hiking trip. Bought more when I saw them on sale on line. These socks are both cushiony and stay firmly in place around the foot. I thought I had bought good hiking socks before, but these are the best. I never knew a simple sock could do so much for me one a day of hiking. These socks are proof that synthetics have surpassed wool/wool blend socks. I'll never go back.
