We live in the woods with our two yellow labs. One is confined with an electric fence, but is getting old and really likes to hang outside (Interpret as "Come" is not his best trick!) We use it on him so that we could find him if he had a health issue while outside doing his business at night. The other dog is a more a free-range fellow. We want him to be visible if he gets near the road and identifiable as a dog to anyone who might be hunting in low-light.
These work great, but the screws that hold them together are impossible to get apart for battery replacement. We will be replacing the whole device soon. We use these every day...they last about a year. Well worth the $. The only way they could be better (except for the battery business) is if they had a bell!

We use it all the time in the winter. We live in NE and it allows us to run our dog after dark. It has gotten hours and hours of use and is still going strong.

I bought this to add to our dogs collars. We use it daily in low light conditions. We live in the woods. Not only does this light help us quickly see the dogs at night, it also easily distinguishes the dog from a hunter's target. Or...if the dog goes for a walkabout and gets near the road, he's easily visible to a driver. Hmmm...maybe the pedestrians need these too?
The previous model, lasted one year before falling apart. That's every day use. I think it's well worth the money.
