The strapping system to hold the heel of your boot into the snowshoe needs to be properly broken in for it to work well. New showshoes will need periodic tightening when in use. This can be quite annoying. The company is aware of this shortcoming. This was my experience snowshoeing in Grand Teton National Park over 5 days with 6 other people that had rented new Atlas snowshoes of this model and in various other sizes. Other than that, this product performed satisfactorily.
