Comments about TUBBS Women's Flex NRG 22 Snowshoes:
I bought these last January and used them on AMC snowshoe hikes in CT every weekend last winter-----and we had a LOT of snow. People I hiked with were skeptical at first about the plastic base as opposed to metal tube frames, but they stood up perfectly. The best feature is that it only took about a minute to get them on or off and that left the others very impressed as they worked on theirs with freezing cold fingers and I was ready to go. The only problem I have is that they don't fit well in or on my day pack and I wound up hand-carrying them for road crossings or such, but it wasn't often.
Pros
- Comfortable
- Easy to pack and carry
- Easy to put on
- Great on icy slopes
- Lightweight
Cons
- None after the first use

Comments about TUBBS Women's Flex NRG 22 Snowshoes:
I am a first time snow shoe user and had a great first experience. While my family skied, I planned on trekking wherever I could find snow. It has been a snowless season here so I had to trek alongside the regular ski slopes along moderately hilly and icy terrain. I was very pleased with how easy it was to walk both uphill and down hill. I felt confident digging into the ice and never slid.
I also bought poles with cork handles and the Tubbs carry case for convenient packing of the shoes, poles and gaiters. At break time, it was easy to carry them inside and not worry about them outside.
