Comments about MERRELL Men's Moab GTX Hiking Shoes,Wide, Beluga:
Just started wearing these shoes and I have no complaints yet. I purchased the wide width shoes and have ample room. They are comfortable and needed minimal breaking in. I haven't tested them as far as a long hike or backpacking, when I do I will try to follow up on this review. Too early to give it 5 stars!!

Comments about MERRELL Men's Moab GTX Hiking Shoes,Wide, Beluga:
Still breaking these in and am not feeling the very stiff top arch/toes area soften yet. Give me a month and I may have a more positive review.

Comments about MERRELL Men's Moab GTX Hiking Shoes,Wide, Beluga:
these shoes are falling apart... riddled with holes... my feet are wet...they have no grip because the soles are totally worn out and starting to peel off....... after 2 years of year'round abuse. 2 years! these are undoubtably the best shoes i've ever owned. I was sad to see them go. after trail running every season in them, countless hikes, wearing them everyday to work, and putting my feet up at the bar as I order a drink....these shoes have done it all.... and survived. I typically burn through shoes within 7 months. Not these ones (and not their sibling..the mid-tops..but thats for another time). These shoes are my favorite. nice and grippy, waterproof, and breathable enough for the murky new england july and august. Just so you know.. I'm on my second pair!! going strong!! it's very rare that i buy the same hikers... thats a good sign for merrell!
