Love these shoes! Always saw the Five Fingers, but I have tiny feet and small toes and never thought they would fit well. So, I went for these guys. I've used them on small mountains in NH, and they are great. I also wore them hiking in the Eastern Dolomites (Alps) and Gran Paradiso National Park (also Alps), and they were GREAT! In the Dolomites we ended up getting rained/hailed and thundered on, and my feet were dry. In Gran Paradiso they held up, and I wore them snowshoeing! They were perfect. They are very comfortable, and I can wear them for a long time.
Two complaints so far, the front rubber part near the two started separating. I just hope that it won't keep separating. The back of the shoe near my achilles tendon rubs a lot, and it ends up being uncomfortable. I usually wear a bandaid, and that helps. I think they just need to be broken in.

I love minimalist shoes and needed something for slippery winter roads. My concern about the relative thick heel compared to a five finger turned out to be a non issue. My toes have the room they need in the shoe but when my husband tried the same pair he found them way too narrow. NB- please make the shoe in kid's sizes!I gave my 80 year old grandma a pair as a gift and she loves them.
