Comments about MERRELL Men's Moab Waterproof Hiking Shoes, Beluga:
I am going on my fourth pair. Each pair has lasted 14 to 18 months under daily use. My feet perspire a lot and so most footwear rarely lasts beyond 14 months. I have the same problem with GoreTex as well. I have found these shoes to be very comfortable with very little break in. They keep my feet dry in rain and snow and have great traction. At end of life, they start to leak, hold odor, and tread is fairly worn. I prefer the color of the non-waterproof version but they don't keep my feet dry suring the winter snow.
