Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Yowza Daypack:
I was looking for a pack that was spacious, sturdy, comfortable, had both a sternum and waist strap, water bottle holders, large main pocket, wet gear holder, preferably a women's backpack, and was stylish. This pack fits these criteria almost 100%, with a few exceptions. It is incredibly spacious! I use this pack every day as I commute on my bike in the city and need room for work documents, books, electronics, lunch, gym gear, including change of shoes, and this pack is perfect for the space that it provides. It also has narrower straps from other daypacks that I've had, which is quite comfortable, loads of straps to buckle things down and the sternum strap with included whistle (didn't look for the whistle specifically, but I think it's a really nice touch!). I thought I wanted two bottle holders, but actually, the second zipped side pocket is really coming in handy so I like this addition. Originally, I was worried that this pack would have too many separators, which I don't like the idea of because it can actually cut down on the main compartment size or the ability to carry one large bulk item, if necessary. However, the separations in this pack are not cumbersome, and they don't cut down on the area provided in the main compartment at all - including the laptop compartment, which doesn't get in the way at all. This is my fourth pack from EMS, and it is still very sturdy, however, I don't think it's as durable (in terms of the material used) as previous packs. In the others, for example, I could carry a pair of scissors without worrying that they would make a hole in the bag, but I wouldn't do that with this one as the material is finer. As far as the fit, the last two packs I've had have been specifically women's...at first I thought that this was a marketing ploy, but I actually appreciate the fit much more than "unisex" packs. Now going back to a "unisex" pack, I can feel the difference as the torso length and breadth across the back has increased. This cuts down slightly on comfort, but on the other hand, you do get more room in these packs. If there were more options out there for women's packs, then I would continue to choose these, but the selection in the market simply isn't there. As for style, this is a good looking pack. When I was ordering it, I thought that it looked more orange on the webpage than it truly is. In reality, it's more of a goldy browny colour. I wasn't sure about it when I first got it, but it's grown on me and I quite like it now. In all, I am really pleased with this pack and continue to think that EMS makes a really great product.

Comments about Eastern Mountain Sports EMS Yowza Daypack:
Love all the pockets to keep things separate, but also accesible. Use it when taking quick trips to visit friends on the weekend; holds more than my hiking pack, which I will now only use for dayhikes. Could use as daypack for shorter hikes. Like that waistbelt is removable.
