I've had this jacket for 6 months and I am incredibly happy with it. It has become a go-to over my old fleece for hiking, cold nights, and somewhat rainy days. It repels water to an extent, but is by no means a replacement for an actual rain shell. It provides warmth and blocks wind effectively. The color is awesome too! Its one of my only pieces of gear that I've actually not boughten in black.

About 10 years ago I had a really nice soft shell jacket that looked almost exactly like this one. Over the years the company stopped making this model but I wore the jacket to death.
When I saw this jacket at the EMS store, I knew that it was what I was looking for. The material is thinner than most soft shell type jackets, which makes it light and suitable for layering underneath. Unlike many of the bulkier options out there, I can wear this jacket for a night out in town as well as to the White Mountains. It is wind proof. In the winter I often get asked whether I'm cold (because it looks so thin!)
